This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of coordinating E+D's wedding at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort. It was a gorgeous day; the sun was shining and it wasn't too cold for the couple to take photos on the stunning resort grounds. The couple chose classic and rustic wedding colors: whites, wood tones, and pops of greens and blues. The bridesmaids wore peacock blue dresses and the groomsmen wore peacock blue ties. Their four tier wedding cake was decorated with a gradient of green frosting and green frosting flowers.
The ceremony was held in the Lakeside Pavilion which is a marquee-like room with floor to ceiling windows and multiple chandeliers. The chuppah was set up on the far side of the room with an amazing view of the lake behind it. On display next to the chuppah was the couple's beautiful ketubah which depicted an image of a lake, just like the one behind them.
After the ceremony, the wedding guests made their way over to the ballroom for cocktail hour. This was a bit of a trek for guests because they had to cross to the other side of the hotel. However it did allow for a longer cocktail that made flipping the ceremony space into the reception a lot easier. The Lakeside Pavilion was transformed for the reception and it was the perfect amount of space for their 130 guests. Garden folding chairs surrounded white round tables through the room. Centerpieces were made up of white flowers, greenery, and floating candles. The couple made their own table numbers on wooden blocks, tying into the rustic theme.
After guests were seated, the bride and groom made their grand entrance for the first time as a married couple. They went straight into their cake cutting followed by family members doing the blessings for the challah and wine. Once dinner was served, the Maid of Honor, the two Best Men, both sets of parents, and two grandmothers gave speeches showering E+D with so much love.
Once it was time, guests flooded the dance floor, only taking breaks to visiting the dessert table with its huge spread of sweet treats. E+D were constantly being approached by guests wanting to congratulate them and take photos with them. To finish off their amazing wedding day, the bride put on a baseball jersey that said "Bride," paying homage to her and her new husband's mutual love for baseball.
